Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year. All of Michael's family came over and a couple of my family visited with us. The kids played and watched the football game with the big kids otherwise known as the dads! Most of the women hung upstairs chit-chatting and looking at the ads. Planning the shoping trip for the next day. (I am not huge on the crowds so I'll wait and spend a little more and keep my sanity.)

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin carving with daddy. Mommy is always the one behind the camera. Haiden and Lily loved the gooey mess.

Michael and Haiden working on the finished product.

The master piece. The jack-o-lantern.

Lily loving the pumpkin. So precious!!!

The Muzzle Loader

Camping and hunting with Daddy. Haiden and Lily blowing on the fire stoking it.
Driving down the canyon we spotted a bull and cow moose. The cow ran so we could not get a good pic but the bull hung around.
Daddy's harvest. The deer he got on the muzzle loader hunt. Michael called me (yes we had cell coverage where he hunts) at our camp site, at about 6:30 telling me he got a deer. I bundled up the kids and threw Lily in the backpack and started hiking up the hill to meet Michael and help him pull the deer out. Of course I forgot a flashlight and am very glad I went back and got a couple. We hiked for about a mile and were turning back when Michael got cell coverage back and told me where to go. We continued walking and met Michael up the trail a few feet, at this time it was dark and had been for about a half hour. I carried Michael's gun and he continued to pull the deer. It took about another hour or so but we made it back to camp. Lily slept most of the way and Haiden walked the entire way about 2 miles, pretty good for a 4 year old.

Our trip to Pittsburgh in September

This is our food from the "Dirty O". A restaurant in Pittsburgh near the University of Pitt. I think that between the two of us we ate about a quarter of it.

This is only one of the sandwiches, we each had one this size. Notice it covers four paper plates!

The National Aviary in Pittsburgh 1 of only 2 in the U.S.
The other is in good old UTAH

Michael and me at the Pittsburgh Steelers game in Pittsburgh.

Pitt Wins finally!!! 1 out of 4 aint bad. They had to win while we were there eventually.

Lily brushing her teeth. She loves to brush and gets so excited when it's time. She would brushy brushy all day.
